Civil Rights Overview
DelDOT's Civil Rights Section is responsible for overseeing all external civil rights programs, insuring compliance with all federal and state civil rights and non-discrimination laws and requirements, and acting to move forward the goals and objectives of civil rights provisions. The Civil Rights Section oversees the following programs: Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Program, Contractor Compliance Program, Supportive Services Programs (DBE and ON-The-Job Training). The Civil Rights Section is the focal point for equal opportunity compliance activities and functions conducted throughout the state.
Our Mission
The Civil Rights Section is committed to supporting DelDOT, its customers, employees and partners in their efforts to attract businesses, serve residents, and stimulate the economy by insuring that services and the intermodal transportation system are equitable and compliant with State and Federal Equal Opportunity laws and regulations. The Civil Rights Section will promote equal opportunity on behalf of all beneficiaries and customers of DelDOT and its activities, internal and external, by providing effective services and support to all program areas.
