Rich Autumnal Colors Bring Beautiful Views of Delaware

The awe of Autumn.  As summer passes to fall and shades of greens turn into rich vibrant reds, golds and oranges and so does the landscape of Delaware.  Vibrant greens turn into rich colors of red, gold and orange.  Travellers on Delaware roadways are treated to colorful displays from trees and other foliage from October into November.

Delaware offers spectacular views of these colors from many of its major roadways and travellers are treated to this spectacle of color from mid-to-late October into November, with peak time for brightest coloring generally being early November.

DelDOT's statewide Enhancing Delaware Highways program conserves, enhances, and celebrates the beautiful diversity of Delaware's native plants and landscapes. These images, all taken along Delaware roadsides, illustrate the program's goals and achievements.
